Happy 10th Birthday!
Holy shit, you guys — VGR is ten years old. That’s a big, round, RPG-worthy number.
I have to leave for work soon, so that’s going to be my excuse for not writing a novel length gushy post here. Sure, I could have written it in advance, but — hey, look over there!
Anyway, thanks so much to Sam, Ben, and Ryan for all their awesome recaps this year. I’m so grateful to their many years of contributions to the site.

Drinks to you, you crazy recappers. I certainly couldn’t have made it through a decade straight of playing these games with such a critical eye. At the very least, I wouldn’t have been able to stay consistently funny or sober.

Poor Sam. She can say she’s finished Xenosaga, but we all know this is not the end. Her liquor cabinet is going to need to be overstocked.
Or perhaps she could just sit on her hands and wait for Xenoblade instead, which would at least be absent of Shion and Albedo.

I hope you all enjoy the last Xenosaga recap! It took me a while, but I’ve talked myself into believing that I just didn’t want it to be over. (Pfffffft.)
As for Xenoblade, I am hoping I can talk Ben into doing that one with me.

I would be honoured to! Speaking from experience, it’ll probably turn out to be the longest recap ever, but at least it’ll be a Shion-free ride.
Congrats on finishing the Xenosaga recap — I think you deserve at least six months off for actually making it to the end!
(Also, I now hate myself for including the words “Shion” and “ride” in the same sentence.)

That reminds me, since VGR is ten years old, and it is a nice round number… does it mean that VGR can also officially be part of a legend that will destroy the world, or fomr part of a character’s tragic backstory?
